Max took this picture and sent it in an email saying, "The picture of the Afghans is the Shah Wali Kot Governor surrounded by Shura members. I eat two meals with him a day... a lot of starch, not much protein, so Beef Jerky would be appreciated."
I thought about his small request as I picked up my daily chai tea latte this morning...something I seem to think I cannot live without. I don't take my comforts for granted too much anymore - I know how lucky I am even on those not so great days.
